Gardaí investigating a fatal hit-and-run incident in Cavan arrested a man last night.
Johnathon Heagney (26) of Dungannon, Co Tyrone, was struck on the Carrickmacross Road out of Kingscourt between 2am and 2pm on Saturday by a vehicle that failed to stop.
The man (21) is being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at Bailieboro Garda station.
