Gardaí investigating the fatal stabbing of a 25-year-old father of two in Passage West, Co Cork last month have renewed an appeal to the public for information.

Jonathan Kenneally Daly’s body was discovered lying in a pool of blood on the street near Passage West library just before midnight on Thursday January 19th when gardaí on a routine patrol came across him. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post mortem later revealed he had died from numerous stab wounds to the upper body and arms sustained in a fight outside an apartment block on the Cork Road.

Gardaí believe a number of cars passed the scene outside an apartment building and are anxious to speak to the drivers. A garda spokesman said the cars drove in the direction of Passage West and towards Douglas.
