Two passers-by who came to the aid of an ill man on the Howth Road yesterday are being asked to contact gardaí.

Two passers-by who came to the aid of an ill man on the Howth Road yesterday are being asked to contact gardaí.

The 48-year-old man was found on the footpath at the junction of Fairview Cresent and Charlemont Road at 3 p.m. He later died at the Mater Hospital.

A middle-aged woman with a young boy and a motorcyclist are being asked to contact Fitzgibbon St Garda Station on (01) 6668400.
