An appeal for witnesses to a crash that left a man in a critical condition in hospital has been made by gardaái in Athlone.
The incident, which involved two vehicles, happened on Roscommon Road at Ganly's Roundabout at 7.30 pm yesterday.
Gardaí are anxious to speak with anybody who may have witnessed the accident to contact them at Athlone on 0902-98550.
