A woman in her late 70s suffered serious injuries after being struck by a car in yesterday morning.
The 78-year-old pedestrian was sent to Naas General Hospital, Co Kildare, after the collision which occurred at about 7am at the junction of Loch Buí and Fairgreen Street in the town. The driver of the 5 series BMW involved in the collision was not injured.
Gardaí investigating the incident are appealing for witnesses who were in the area at the time and have asked that they contact Naas Garda station on 045-884300.
