Garda seek witnesses to serious Dublin assault

Gardaí in Dublin are seeking the public's assistance following a serious assault in shortly after 9 p.m. last night.

Gardaí in Dublin are seeking the public's assistance following a serious assault in shortly after 9 p.m. last night.

A man in his 50s was attacked on Camden Place near the city centre a secluded lane just a few hundred yards from the Dublin headquarters of the Garda.

He was taken to St James's Street Hospital where he is being treated for head injuries.

Gardaí believe two men in their early 20s were responsible for the attack and are asking anyone with information to contact them at 6669539 or 6669500.
