The Garda and RUC will field a joint rugby union team next season for the first of a series of friendly challenge matches, an RUC rugby club organiser said yesterday. Det Chief Inspector Tim McGregor said he hoped the combined team would symbolise a strengthening of the relationship between the two police forces.
