Gardai are searching for a prisoner who escaped from custody prior to an appearance at Waterford District Court.
The Waterford man in his twenties broke free from his garda escort en route to a bail hearing and scaled a wall between the courthouse and a fire station before making his escape at around 12.30pm.
Gardaí have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
