A member of an Garda Síochana is due before Cork District Court this morning in connection with the attempted robbery of a shop.
The garda, who has been on leave for the last few months, appeared before a special sitting of the court yesterday afternoon.
The garda, who is in his 40s, was arrested in connection with the attempted robbery of a shop at Kilmoney Road in Carrigaline, Co Cork on Saturday.
