GARDAI and Customs officials seized more than £30,000 in cigarettes, beer and spirits in a joint operation in Cork city on Monday. The haul included 212,000 cigarettes, worth about £30,000, 439 litres of spirits worth £4,500 and 564 litres of beer worth £1,000. A file is being prepared for the DPP.
