Gardaí at Clonmel have today renewed an appeal for public assistance in relation to the murder of Paiche Onyemaechi Unyolo (25) from Malawi.

Her body was found in Brenar Bridge, Piltown, Co Kilkenny, July 23rd, 2004, some five kilometres north of Piltown on the road to Templeorum.

Gardaí say there are particularly interested in speaking to Ms Paiche’s husband, Chicka.

"We are concerned for Chicka's welfare as he has not been seen since a number of days after his wife's body was discovered," a Garda statement said.

More than 500 statements have been taken during the investigation.

Ms Paiche was the daughter of the Malawian chief justice, Leonard Unyolo
