The Garda at Abbeyleix in Co Laois has appealed for witnesses to a traffic accident yesterday in which a teenaged boy was seriously injured.
The 17-year-old pedestrian was injured following a collision with a truck and a car on the N8 one mile north of Abbeyleix.
It is believed the young man may have been walking from Abbeyleix towards Portlaoise. He was wearing a black hoodie top and carrying a rucksack at the time of the incident.
