Loyalist paramilitaries are believed to have been responsible for two paramilitary-style shootings near Belfast last night.

The two men, aged 22 and 24, are being treated for gunshot wounds to their right legs after they were attacked at a community centre in Newtownabbey yesterday afternoon.

A spokesman for the Northern Ireland Human Rights Bureau, Mr Vincent McKenna, called on all politicians in the North to condemn the shootings. He claimed the UDA was responsible.
