Gang hijacks man's car in west Belfast

A gang of three men held a knife to a motorist's throat in west Belfast early this morning before hijacking his car.

A gang of three men held a knife to a motorist's throat in west Belfast early this morning before hijacking his car.

The  attackers approached the victim as he was standing on the Falls Road at around 2.00am.

He was threatened with a knife and ordered to hand over the keys to his Volkswagen Golf.

A PSNI spokeswoman said the man escaped injury but was left extremely shaken by his ordeal.

The gang made off in the car, which has yet to be recovered.
