Police in Co Antrim are investigating a paramilitary-style assault in Moss Side, Ballymoney, shortly after midnight this morning.
Three masked men armed with baseball bats forced their way into a house and attacked the lone woman occupant of the house.
The woman (56) suffered severe bruising to her body and was later taken to hospital.
The gang then cause extensive damage to the house and fled in a white saloon car heading in the direction of Armoy.
Anyone with information is asked to call detectives at Ballymoney.
