Gardaí in Galway are investigating an incident in which a man was seriously injured outside a licenced premises in the city last night.
The man, thought to be in his forties, was brought to hospital following an altercation at the Bóthar le Cheile public house in the Newcastle area of the city.
The incident happened at around 10.50 last night. No arrests were made.
