A Plaque has finally been erected to the great blues musician, Rory Gallagher, in the city where he developed his fine guitar skills.

Last weekend the Lord Mayor of Cork, Mr Dave McCarthy, unveiled a sculpture in honour of Gallagher at the Paul Street Plaza in Cork. It was somewhat embarrassing to hear that the authorities in Paris had named a street after him while Cork was still wondering what it should do. Better late than never. A wrong has been put right.
