LONDON - Families of Hillsborough disaster victims last night attacked as "outrageous" an award of £1.2 million to police who helped rescue the dying and injured at the tragedy. The sum was awarded to 14 officers who suffered psychiatric damage as they helped on the terraces at the 1989 FA Cup semi final disaster which claimed 96 lives. Most of the victims' families have not received compensation for their loss - and they were furious at yesterday's award.
