The funeral of Woodford, Co Galway-born Father Michael Egan, who was appointed first Provincial of the Irish Province of the Salesians of Don Bosco when it was established in 1969, took place yesterday after Mass in the Church of Mary Help of Christians, Castletroy, to the Salesian Cemetery, Pallaskenry, Co Limerick. He was 84.
