The funeral of 13-year-old Jamie Farrelly-Maughan took place in Cavan cathedral today.
Jamie's body was found during a search on Friday afternoon less than half a mile from her home in Cavan town, at the rear of a semi-detached house.
The discovery in Harmony Heights followed a phone call from a member of the public. She had been missing since the previous Sunday.
A post mortem took place late on Friday night, but a Garda spokesman said it may take a number of days to establish the cause of death. Samples have been sent for toxicology, he added.
Gardai are treating the death as suspicious.
