The funeral of the Aran Islander shot dead in Boston this week will take place on Inis Meáin today after a wake at the family home.
Ciarán Dara Ó Conghaile (36) will be buried beside his brother Micheál Dara after Mass in Séipeal Muire gan Smál at noon. The last time he was in Ireland was for Micheál Dara’s funeral.
Police are investigating the shooting last Monday in the suburb of Dorchester, when Mr Ó Conghaile was returning from an Irish heritage festival. One line of inquiry is that he was shot by a gang who robbed a woman at gunpoint in the next block.
