A fund has been set up in Arklow, Co Wicklow, for the benefit of four children who have been lost both their parents. Marie McMillan (9), her two elder sisters, Patricia (12) and Lisa (15), and her brother, James (11), were orphaned two weeks ago when their mother, Eileen, died from a heart attack. Their father, Patrick, also died suddenly three years ago.
A group of neighbours has set up a fund for the children and is organising a house to house collection in the town.
