Gardaí have made a renewed appeal over the killing of a man in Dublin four years ago.

On the evening of Sunday, October 19th, Gavin McCarthy was fatally wounded in a shooting on Lower Sheriff Street, Dublin 1, at about 9pm.

Mr McCarthy (21) was with his brother and others standing outside a fast food outlet on Lower Sheriff Street. After leaving the Chinese takeaway, he was approached by a man on a bicycle and shot dead.

In a statement, gardaí said they hare hopeful "that people's circumstances may have changed" and are urging anyone with information to contact Store Street Garda station on 01 6668089 or the Garda confidential line on 1800 666 111.
