Paris - A French aid worker and three members of his family have been kidnapped in the African state of Chad, the French Foreign Ministry said yesterday, adding that "No one has claimed responsibility".
In the past two decades there have been several military showdowns between French troops backing the government and Libyan forces backing rebels or claiming territory they say was unjustly wrested from them by colonial-era treaties.
