Dushanbe - A French aid worker abducted in Tajikistan along with her husband was killed yesterday when government troops stormed a rebel hideout to free her. Paris said an airforce jet would fly home the body of Ms Kareen Mane accompanied by her husband Mr Franck Dubry, freed last night. She worked in Tajikistan for an aid organisation funded by the United Nations refugee agency (UNHCR). Mr Dubry worked for the EU's technical assistance programme.
