France asks Iran to help

NICOSIA - France yesterday asked Iran to help end the conflict in Lebanon, the Iranian news agency IRNA said. It said the French Foreign Minister, Mr Herve de Charette, in a phone conversation with his Iranian counterpart, Mr Ali Akbar Velayati, "asked Iran to help bring an end to fighting and bloodshed."
