A fourth person has been arrested in the Garda investigation into an armed robbery in Dublin last Saturday.

Gardai in Crumlin arrested a man in his 40s this afternoon in the Tallaght area, in connection with the raid on a cash-in-transit van at Walkinstown Avenue.

He is currently detained under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939 at Terenure Garda station.

Two men and woman arrested yesterday remain in Garda custody, a Garda spokesman said.

During yesterday's operation a number of houses were searched in the south Dublin area and gardaí recovered a firearm and a large amount of cash.
