Four US soldiers have been killed and four others were wounded by an explosion south of Baghdad, the military has confirmed.
The blast struck the soldiers from Task Force Marne yesterday during combat operations south of the capital, the military said in a brief statement that provided no more details.
Names of the deceased were withheld pending notification of relatives.
