Four men facing charges related to the seizure of cocaine valued at €105 million in the sea off Co Cork have been remanded in custody.

Perry Wharrie (47), Joseph Daly (40), Martin Wanden (44) and Gerard Hagan (23)  appeared at Cloverhill District Court this morning amid tight security.

Judge Patrick Brady granted the application by the State for time for the Director of Public Prosecutions to advise what charges will be laid against them.

All four men will appear at Cloverhill again on August 28th.

The cocaine was found floating in 61 bales in Dunlough Bay, Mizen Head, on July 2nd.
