Four men including the Brixton Prison escaper, Nessan Quinlivan, were being held in Limerick last night by gardai investigating IRA activities in the area.
Three including Quinlivan were arrested early on Monday morning. The fourth was arrested in the city at about midday yesterday. All four are being held Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, which allows detention without charge for 48 hours.
