FOUR PEOPLE are now in custody over the shooting dead last week of French national Charles Sinanapayen in Bray, Co Wicklow.

Mr Sinanapayen (32) was shot in the head last Friday at the apartment he shared with his partner in Richmond Hill, Fassaroe.

A man in his 20s was arrested yesterday morning and detained at Shankill Garda station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act. Two men and a woman are still being detained at Bray Garda station.

Mr Sinanapayen was killed when he went to the window of his apartment to investigate a disturbance. He was shot by somebody on an external stairwell.

Two men were spotted fleeing the scene and getting into a car.

Mr Sinanapayen died from his injuries at Beaumont Hospital at 2am on Monday. Tragically, his father died of a long-term illness in Bordeaux just hours before Mr Sinanapayen passed away.

Gardaí recovered two shotguns they believe were used in the shooting. Mr Sinanapayen was not known to gardaí and had no criminal record.
