Four held in north Dublin shooting inquiry

Four people are being held in connection with a shooting early yesterday morning in north Dublin.

Four people are being held in connection with a shooting early yesterday morning in north Dublin.

Six people were in a house in Redmonds Court, Kilbarrack, when a masked gunman opened fire at about 4.40 a.m.

Gardaí say at least two shots were fired into the an upstairs bedroom window and the front door of the house. No one was injured.

Garda inquiries led to a search of a house in the Donaghmede area this morning where a sawn-off shotgun was recovered.

Two men in their twenties and one in his forties were detained along with a woman, also in her forties.  They are being detained under section 30 of the Offences Against The State Act in Raheny and Howth Garda stations.
