Four foreign hostages freed by Iraqi captors

A Polish businessman kidnapped in Iraq last week and three Italians have all been released today.

A Polish businessman kidnapped in Iraq last week and three Italians have all been released today.

Masked gunmen abducted Mr Jerzy Kos, a manager with Polish construction company Jedynka, at the firm's Baghdad offices.

The Polish army confirmed today he had been freed by his captors.

The three Italian hostages have been in captivity for nearly two months.

Italian state television RAI said the hostages had been freed and were in a good condition.
