BRUSSELS - Four Belgians died in a blazing Brussels apartment building yesterday after a petrol bomb was thrown into a ground floor cafe.

Belgian media reported here had been a fight between the cafe's Moroccan owner and the building's Belgian tenants. The La Batavia cafe had been the scene of gambling.

Eight people were interrogated by public prosecutors in connection with the fire bombing which killed three middle aged men and a woman, a police spokesman said. Police detained five of the eight people interrogated.
