The bicentennial anniversary of the first sitting at the Four Courts will take place in Dublin today at a ceremony attended by the President, Mrs Robinson. More than 600 people have been invited to attend.
The first court sitting in the building was held on November 8th, 1796. However, no records exist of what that case concerned.
