Four people have been arrested in connection with the murder of a Limerick man (25) last year.

Four people have been arrested in connection with the murder of a Limerick man (25) last year.

David Nunan from O'Malley Park, Southill, was found shot dead near Parteen, Co Clare, on October 28th last. He had been released from Limerick prison, where he had been serving a sentence for firearms offences, just days before he was murdered.

Two men, both aged 20 and two women, aged 17 and 18,  were arrested this morning at various locations around Limerick city.

They are being questioned under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act and can be held for 72 hours before being charged or released.
