Four men were arrested in the Creggan estate in Derry yesterday by police investigating a series of "punishment" attacks in the area in recent weeks.

Meanwhile, a 24 year old man suffered multiple fractures after he was beaten in west Belfast by a group of men claiming to be from the IRA. He was beaten with baseball bats studded with nails. The attack occurred last week but was not reported until Monday.
