Four arrested over €1m cannabis haul in Dublin

Four people were being questioned today after cannabis resin worth over a €1 million was uncovered in south county Dublin.

Gardai discovered around 165kgs of the illegal drug after searching an open area near Parc Na Silla in Loughlinstown.

Officers confirmed the seizure, depending on a forensic examination, may have a potential street value of €1.1 million.

One man was arrested at the scene late last night.

Following further investigations two men and a woman were arrested at a house nearby and a small quantity of cocaine was seized.

The four people arrested are all in their early 20s.

They are being detained at Dun Laoghaire Garda Station under Section two of the Drug Trafficking Act.
