Gardaí have ruled out foul play in the death of a woman who was found unconscious in a car park in Co Clare early on Sunday morning.

The woman, named locally as Maria Talbot (42), later died in hospital. Her body was found at Clarecastle near Ennis.

Following a port mortem at Ennis General Hospital a garda spokeswoman said foul play had been ruled out in connection with the woman's death. However, she was unable to state the reason for the woman's death.
