The Irish Foster Care Association has received official recognition and funding. The annual meeting in Westport, Co Mayo, at the weekend was told that the Minister of State for Health, Mr Frank Fahey, has allocated £10,000 between now and Christmas to the setting up of a new executive for the body. A further £80,000 is being allocated next year which will allow the organisation to set up funding-raising structures.
