A FORMER sports coach was charged with new offences at a hearing in Kilmainham District Court yesterday. Sgt Mary Delmar from the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation said the man had answered "no comment" in reply to the charges.
Judge Gillian Hussey was given a copy of a High Court order and judgment referring to previous' proceedings, and counsel for the Director of Public Prosecutions said a new book of evidence would be served.
The judge said she would take the new charges on the old bail and remanded the defendant on continuing bail to appear at Kilmainham District on July 29th.
The man's solicitor said his client was unemployed and "has been for quite a while", but Judge Hussey said she would not hear any application for legal aid at yesterday's sitting.
