John Garvey (76), a former deputy editor of the Irish Pressnewspaper, died suddenly at the Mater hospital in Dublin on Thursday last.
A native of Newry, Co Down, he is survived by his wife Joyce and children Anthony, Andrew and Claire.
His funeral Mass will take place on Monday morning at 10am on in the St Vincent de Paul Church on Griffith Avenue, Dublin.
