Islamabad - Floods caused by heavy rain have killed 45 people in Pakistan's Punjab province, but pose no immediate threat to crops, officials said yesterday. The director general for relief in Punjab was quoted by the state news agency as saying that 45 people had died after torrential rain lashed much of the province on Tuesday and Wednesday, flooding 410 villages. Many of the deaths occurred in house collapses.
