Garnet Bell, jailed for a flame thrower attack on pupils attending Sullivan Upper School in Holywood, Co Down, three years ago has died aged 47. Bell, who had been suffering from bowel cancer, was refused a request by the prison authorities to be removed to a hospice to be allowed die with dignity. He died on Tuesday night.
