FIVE people were rescued from the sea in Cork Harbour after their inflatable boat burst following an explosion

FIVE people were rescued from the sea in Cork Harbour after their inflatable boat burst following an explosion. A yacht nearby in Crosshaven for the Ford Cork regatta was slightly damaged but the sailors were all rescued.

The boat belonged to the Disabled Sailors' Association, one of whose members was among those on board at the time of the accident on Tuesday evening. The Garda is investigating the cause of the explosion.
