Police in Northern Ireland have arrested five men as part of a renewed investigation into the murder of journalist Martin O’Hagan in Lurgan seven years ago.

Mr O'Hagan, a reporter with the Sunday World, was shot dead as he walked home with his wife in September 2001.

Detectives from the PSNI's Retrospective Murder Review unit arrested the five men yesterday in Lurgan, Banbridge and Ballykinler in Co Down.

All five are being questioned at the serious crime suite in Antrim police station.
