Gardaí arrested five men in their mid twenties following a joint operation yesterday between the Garda National Drugs Unit and the Clontarf Drugs Unit.

Drugs with a total street value of €500,000 were seized when a number of houses and cars were searched in the Clontarf area.

The five men are being held in Clontarf and Raheny Garda Stations under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act where they can be held for up to seven days.
