Five arrested in Belfast operation

Police in Belfast last night arrested five men and seized two firearms during an operation in the west of the city.

Police in Belfast last night arrested five men and seized two firearms during an operation in the west of the city.

A PSNI spokeswoman said the men were arrested after officers stopped a car in the Falls Road area around 10pm. She said officers believed the men were linked to an earlier incident in the St James Road area.

The men were taken to Antrim serious crimes suite for questioning.
