The Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources, Mr Fahey, has rejected any further moves by the European Commission to reduce fishing fleets. The Minister was speaking at yesterday's EU Fisheries Council in Luxembourg. A report on further cuts has been presented to the EU Fisheries Commissioner, Mr Franz Fischler, but no decision has been taken.
