Biomedical testing firm Beckman Coulter is to run a four year research programme with NUI Galway.

Biomedical testing firm Beckman Coulter is to run a four year research programme with NUI Galway.

Beckman Coulter's plant in Galway makes a wide range of products for use with its diagnostic systems, and this is its first collaborative research project in Ireland.

The programme will see the creation of team of 10 masters and PhD-level researchers in in Galway.

The announcement was made today by the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Micheál Martin.
